Frequently asked questions

  • Yes! We use a third party test lab to confirm they are actually flushable for well maintained septic and municipal wastewater systems according to the IWSFG (International Water Services Flushability Group), who are recognized as a leading industry standard for flushability.

Additionally, all of our flushable wipes pass the Guidelines for Assessing the Flushability of Disposable Nonwoven Products (GD4), which are widely used through North America and Europe to assess flushability and to ensure that wipes are safe for sewer and septic systems. We take it very seriously.

Our actually flushable wipes (™)  are 100% made with plant-based fibers and made to break down when flushed. It’s unfortunate that all flushable wipes are considered equal, and that they get such a bad rap! Only 1-2% of what has been found in sewer buildup from 4 separate forensic studies (across multiple cities/countries) has been flushable wipes. The real problems are other items that don’t break down, including paper towels, feminine hygiene products, baby wipes and all kinds of other NON-FLUSHABLE wipes.

Of course, we do still recommend only flushing one wipe at a time, out of an abundance of caution. And if in doubt, throw it out!

  • Absolutely not! We love our furry friends, and we only test our products on humans :). In fact, we conduct clinical testing of our products on humans who self identify as having sensitive skin to ensure they are gentle for every body with a booty!

  • goodwipes are premium, 100% ACTUALLY flushable wet wipe, for an actually clean bum.

  • NOPE! goodwipes are clinically proven to outclean TP! Many of our goodwipes community report that they are completely OFF toilet paper for good - and exclusively use goodwipes to wipe their booties, forever and ever 😀.

  • 100% plant based fibers with a blend of pulp and viscose fibers. This is what allows them to be flushable. Compare to baby wipes which are made of long-fibers and oftentimes plastic, which is why baby wipes are NOT flushable!

  • You know it! goodwipes are clinically tested and safe to use for sensitive skin! Thousands of consumers tell us that goodwipes are the only wipes they can use on their booties b/c it doesn’t sting or cause irritation like other wipes have in the past.
